DF Studio is pleased to announce that the following changes have been deployed to all accounts throughout this January. Up-to-date information on the latest releases can always be found in the Release Notes listing.
Enhancements
Messengers
- The options for configuring available file sizes in a Download Messenger have been adjusted for improved clarity.
Metadata
- The drop-down menus for suggested metadata values have been adjusted to display multi-line text for longer values, rather than clipping the text after a certain length.
- Metadata exports will continue to include the DFS ID and asset filename as asset identifiers by default, but these columns can now be optionally omitted for workflows that require a different set of exported data.
Asset Workflows & Organization
- The menu and type-ahead search when selecting an existing Collection have been enhanced for reliability and performance.
- The Column view has been updated with minor visual enhancements for improved navigability.
Bug Fixes
Metadata
- Addressed a misconfiguration which caused a user’s selections from the Export Metadata overlay to be reset from one export to the next.
Asset Workflows & Organization
- Resolved a bug which caused the wrong shoot date to be displayed for Projects in a Library icon view.
- Fixed a misconfiguration which prevented Edits created with the “all assets” option selected from incorporating new assets added after the creation of the Edit.
- Fixed a bug which caused links from the Recent and Bookmarks menus to open 1-Up view instead of the default thumbnails view.
- Corrected an issue which caused the wrong parent folder to be selected by default when creating a new Collection.
- Addressed a bug which caused unexpected results when selecting multiple Collections from the Collections overview and performing bulk actions on the selection.
- Fixed a problem which was inserting extra space in the thumbnail grid when arranging assets in certain Collections.
- Resolved an issue which caused the highlighting of visual annotations to perform differently when switching between thumbnails and 1-Up views.
- Corrected a problem which could cause errors when switching between files view and 1-Up view.
