Sep 29, 2025

Version 2025.3

The latest software update from DF Studio is now being deployed to all accounts. This version features a complete overhaul of the Contacts list, with improved usability and reduced clutter, along with fixes and enhancements to People Recognition and other workflows. As always, please reach out to DF Studio’s support team with any feedback or questions about this update.

Enhancements

Messengers
  • Recipient options have been clarified for greater consistency between the screens for sending or re-sending a Messenger.
Metadata
  • Metadata fields that fail metadata validation will be made visible even if they are hidden by the current filtering settings.
  • For improved clarity, the Full Metadata listing no longer displays synthetic metadata sections such as “Composite” or “MWG.”
Uploads & Assignments
  • Cloud-based uploads from Box accounts are now supported.
Asset Workflows & Organization
  • The group menu now supports grouping assets by the file types present in the asset stacks.
  • Group headers have been updated for improved clarity and alignment.
  • The group selector has been enhanced to make it clearer which group is currently selected, and to support type-ahead filtering for navigating to other groups.
  • When using the group menu to group assets by attributes composed of multiple values (such as Key People or file types), groups are now sorted by the number of items present.
  • The group menu’s setting is now maintained when navigating to a new Project or Collection, provided the new location can be grouped by the selected option.
  • The Outline Navigator has been refined so that the first and last group label are always accessible in circumstances where the number of groups require certain group labels to be hidden from the navigator.
  • Group labels with very long names are now truncated in the Outline Navigator to prevent interfering with other elements in the view.
  • Files View has been updated to provide more clarity regarding assets without any original files.
  • Keyboard Shortcuts have been streamlined to be more reliable across various contexts and view navigations.
API & Integration
  • DF Studio Share Links can now be used to locate Projects and assets.
  • Custom metadata fields can now be modified on DF Studio Projects.
