Release Notes 2024.1.1: Inspector redesign and performance enhancements

DF Studio is pleased to announce its latest software release, which is now being deployed to all accounts. As always, please reach out to DF Studio’s support team with any feedback or questions.

Enhancements

Account Management
  • The display of the Users & Teams interface has been refreshed to smooth out visual anomalies and clarify the presentation of data.
Asset Workflows & Organization
  • The Inspector panel in the right-hand sidebar has received a comprehensive redesign, with re-ordered buttons, improved icons, and collapsible sections, for a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.
  • Improvements have been applied to the behavior of the notification that appears when multiple DF Studio views are open simultaneously in the same web browser. Its messaging has been clarified, as well.
  • Buttons for moving files to or from Cold Storage have been removed in contexts where no original files are available to move.
Security & Protection
  • User accounts that have been unused for an extended period will be automatically disabled.

Bug Fixes

Messengers
  • Resolved a bug which failed to send email notifications for assets added to LIVE Messengers, after the Messenger links had expired and been re-opened.
  • Patched a fault which failed to track approval states for new assets added to a LIVE Approval Messenger after the Messenger had been delivered.
  • Rectified an error which occurred when clicking the “Preview” button from the Edit Messenger Details screen.
  • Addressed minor visual anomalies on the Re-Send Messenger screen.
Account Management
  • Fixed a problem which made it impossible to load the Users & Teams settings screen under specific account configurations.
  • Resolved an issue which caused the “Upload Users” tab to appear on the Users & Teams settings screen for DF Studio accounts that do not include upload users.
Asset Workflows & Organization
  • Improved the performance of 1-Up View when navigating through assets very rapidly.
  • Addressed a misconfiguration which could cause confusion by presenting the wrong asset by default after using the filter menus to change the current imageset while working in 1-Up or 2-Up views.
  • Mitigated an anomaly which prevented Project keyframe images from being set as expected.
  • Corrected an issue which made it possible to scroll down well beyond the last assets in a Project or Collection view in some cases.
  • Fixed a problem which caused an error when attempting to create a Messenger from selected assets on the Search Results screen.
  • Resolved a defect which caused sorting to behave unexpectedly in various Library views.
  • Addressed an issue which prevented proper navigation using the arrow keys when viewing assets in List View.
  • Patched a fault which could result in unexpected behavior when navigating using the arrow keys after switching to the Files View with an asset selected.
  • Fixed a bug which prevented navigating to the last item in a list when using the arrow keys to navigate in Files View.
  • Addressed a problem which automatically focused on text input fields when opening a new overlay, with the potential for accidental deletion or modification of data.
  • Corrected a defect which displayed incorrect settings in the Viewing Preferences pop-up when the default settings were in effect.
  • Fixed an issue which could cause visual anomalies when displaying certain informational tooltips in the interface.
  • Mitigated a problem which caused the view menu in the Collections summary to appear out of sync with the current perspective in specific conditions.
  • Resolved a bug which made it possible to select multiple Setups in the Project Details screen.
