Messenger refinements and upload optimizations

DF Studio is pleased to announce that the following changes have been deployed to all accounts throughout this July. Up-to-date information on the latest releases can always be found in the Release Notes listing.

Enhancements

Messengers

• The Messenger History list now supports filtering to “My Messengers” for all users, to aid in filtering Shared Messengers.
• Recipient input fields now display the list of available contacts and groups when clicked.
• The option to list the multiple recipients of a Messenger in its email notification and Conversation area has been restored.
• Approval invalidation is now supported on Messenger links that have not yet been accessed by their recipients.
• Notifications make it clearer that view-only Messengers are not affected when invaliding approvals.

Metadata

• Rules regarding date comparisons and the current date are now available for metadata validation.

Uploads & Assignments

• Visual refreshes to the Upload Monitor have improved the reliability of the control buttons.
• The Upload Report notification email has been updated to display times related to the time zone of the uploading user.
• Errors regarding required fields in the New Assignment form have been updated for clarity.

Asset Workflows & Organization

• MKV files are now recognized as video files, generating viewable previews when uploaded.

Bug Fixes

Messengers

• Corrected a misconfiguration which caused files imported to a Project using Messenger Import to be placed into a new Project instead.

Metadata

• Resolved an issue which caused the Import Metadata overlay to display blank names for the columns from an imported CSV file under certain conditions.
• Mitigated a problem which caused metadata editor menus to cover the input area when switching between active metadata fields.

Uploads & Assignments

• Corrected issues which caused the Activity Monitor to misreport the number of assets successfully ingested under certain circumstances.
• Addressed an anomaly which could cause the results of an upload operation to be out of sync if the upload was canceled before completing.
• Fixed a problem which caused the upload date in the Upload Report to be blank.
• Resolved a misconfiguration which could display improper dates from the distant past in the Upload Report email notification.

Asset Workflows & Organization

• Addressed an issue which caused failures to update the final completion state of certain tasks in the Activity Monitor.
• Fixed a bug which could cause unwanted results when navigating keyboard shortcuts to navigate certain lists within DF Studio.
• Corrected a fault which prevented the use of Shift + arrow keys to expand the current selection when navigating certain lists.

Publishing

• Resolved a problem which caused the recipient area to be empty when sending a Web Portfolio.
