DF Studio is pleased to announce its latest software release, which is now being deployed to all accounts. This version features refinements to People Recognition and metadata updating, along with interface enhancements for clarity and usability. Enhancements

Metadata

• The People Recognition process has been refined to improve the matching of primary faces in the image. Low-quality faces are automatically placed in the Removed state.
• When working in People View, it is now possible to select Removed people by hovering the mouse pointer over their face in the preview image. Clicking this face will allow editing and restoring the person from the Removed state.
• When using Quick Look to preview an asset from person view, the selected person’s face will be circled in the Quick Look image.
• The interface for splitting recognized faces from a specific person has been refined for consistency.
• Visual refinements have improved the clarity of navigation and workflow operations in the People dashboard.
• A modernized and more efficient approach to the processing of metadata changes allows immediate updating, which no longer requires waiting for a background task to update file metadata.

Bug Fixes

Metadata

• Patched an issue which caused errors when saving Person Shown information with a single character for the person’s role.
• Corrected a bug which prevented appending a new badge to a selection of multiple assets with varying badges already applied.
• Addressed a misconfiguration which caused the “Add Face” button to be missing under certain configurations.
• Resolved a problem which prevented merging more than one Unknown person without providing a name.
• Fixed an issue which could cause degraded performance when opening the People dashboard for the first time on a Project with a large number of recognized faces.
• Mitigated an anomaly which caused the face count to be reported as 0 in the folder level Manage Key People tab, rather than the actual number of recognized faces for each Key Person in the folder’s Projects.
• Refined the interface for option menus in metadata fields with defined or suggested values, to prevent an issue which would cause the menu to resize unexpectedly.

Asset Workflows & Organization

• Resolved a misconfiguration that caused the navigation of proofsheet grid views using the keyboard’s arrow keys to behave inconsistently under certain cirumstances.

API & Integration

• Fixed an issue which caused uploads from concurrent API sessions initiated with the same API credentials to be displayed separately in the Activity Monitor.
