Messenger Setups, People metadata, and asset filter improvements

Jul 16, 2026

Version 2026.1.2

DF Studio is pleased to announce its latest software release, which is now being deployed to all accounts. This version adds all tagged people to the Person(s) Shown field in file metadata, and improves the performance of Messengers and asset filters. As always, please reach out to DF Studio’s support team with any feedback or questions.

Enhancements

Messengers
  • Messengers now display a Setups menu anytime a Messenger’s assets are sourced from more than one Setup. In cases where assets are sourced from multiple Projects, the Project name will be appended to the Setup name for clarity.
Metadata
  • Named people are now included in file metadata (Person(s) Shown) alongside Key People.
Downloads & Transfers
  • The messaging in the Download overlay has been refined and visually refreshed to improve clarity.
Asset Workflows & Organization
  • The behavior and layout of the Asset Filters panels have been improved for greater consistency and ease of use.

Bug Fixes

Messengers
  • Patched a misconfiguration which could result in Messengers failing to send due to errors in the email address provided for the recipient.
  • Fixed an issue which could cause a non-functioning “Remove Asset” button to show up in the Messenger Inspector.
Uploads & Assignments
  • Resolved a bug which displayed the name of the Assignment creator in the Activity Monitor or asset history, instead of the uploader’s name.
Asset Workflows & Organization
  • Mitigated an anomaly which could cause the Setups filter to switch to “Multi” mode unintentionally.
  • Corrected a defect which allowed long, unbroken Project or Collection names to adversely affect the layout of the Activity Monitor display.
  • Rectified a problem which prevented proper use of the keyboard shortcuts for setting select levels or navigating within the proofsheet after adjusting asset filters.
  • Fixed a bug which could show a blank page when refreshing the view in 1-Up View with asset filters active.
  • Addressed an anomaly which allowed renaming an existing Setup using the reserved name “No Setup.”
  • Resolved a fault which could cause delays when conducting move operations involving very large sets of items.
