We are very excited to bring you the new DF Studio Asset API. With this development, enterprise level clients can begin to incorporate DF Studio into their overall file management infrastructure. In addition, DF Studio’s support for custom metadata fields facilitates integration with systems that utilize metadata fields other than standard EXIF or IPTC fields.
Enterprise Asset API
Enterprise Asset API provides enterprise customers programmatic access to their assets in DF Studio. Enterprise clients can now design and implement back-end integration between DF Studio and in-house DAM systems using our API resources. A new group permission (Setting –> Users and Groups) gives users access to the API. See our Knowledge Base article to learn more about this new feature check out our knowledge base article.
Custom Image Metadata
Custom metadata fields are now supported at the Image level, with support for string, text, boolean, select or multi-select field types. These appear and are editable in the Metadata Editor Pane. Fields may be marked as read-only so that they are viewable but not editable in the user interface. Custom metadata fields are viewed and manipulated through the Asset API and are available in the Text Export function. Custom image metadata is not embedded into image files.
Enterprise clients may request custom fields be added to the metadata editor pane.
