Version 2025.1

This version enables uploads from Dropbox, updates the default filename format for generating Setups automatically during upload, debuts the new Activity Monitor overlay, and includes several other fixes and performance enhancements. As always, please reach out to DF Studio’s support team with any feedback or questions about this update.
Enhancements
Messengers
- Large previews can now be included in Messengers configured with the Approval or View templates.
- The configuration options for downloadable files have been adjusted to improve clarity.
Metadata
- The Star Rating field has been improved in the search overlay, to make it easier to configure the desired range of values for matching.
- Informative alerts have been added to improve clarity when specific custom metadata fields fail validation.
- Helper tooltips have been added to the icons in the custom editing panel for the Person/Role metadata field in order to make the controls more intuitive.
Uploads & Assignments
- Files can now be uploaded to DF Studio directly from a folder within a Dropbox account.
- The default filename pattern for generating automatic Setups during upload has been adjusted to capture all of the filename before the first underscore character (_).
Account Management
- The lists of users in the DF Studio settings screen can now be sorted by clicking the headers atop any column.
Asset Workflows & Organization
- The Activity Monitor is now displayed as an overlay, allowing it to be viewed without interrupting the current workflow context. It can also be opened in a separate browser window.
- Files View has been updated to incorporate continuous scrolling, to match the other Project and Collection views.
Bug Fixes
Messengers
- Fixed an issue which caused Messengers to appear under the “Active” filter in the Messenger tab for a period of time after they had been submitted by their recipients.
- Resolved a bug which affected the styling of certain metadata fields in Metadata Messengers.
Asset Workflows & Organization
- Corrected a defect which caused the “refresh” icon to be missing from its place alongside the name of a Collection in the Navigation Path.
- Mitigated an anomaly which allowed certain keyboard shortcuts to remain active when an overlay was displayed, taking action on the content behind the overlay itself.
- Fixed a bug which prevented the bookmark functionality in the Recent menu from working as expected.
- Rectified a problem which displayed the “Recognize” button in the Asset Inspector when selecting multiple assets that had already been processed by People Recognition.
- Patched an error which caused the disclosure state of the section dividers in the right-hand Inspector sidebar to be reset by refreshing the page in certain circumstances.
- Addressed a problem which could cause a folder to be opened but not selected in Column View if another item were selected while the folder was in the process of opening.
