People Recognition enhancements, metadata fixes, and upload improvements

DF Studio is pleased to announce that the following changes have been deployed to all accounts throughout this April. Up-to-date information on the latest releases can always be found in the Release Notes listing.

Enhancements

Metadata

• When running People Recognition, a cost estimator is now available to display approximate pricing based on specified face counts.
• The option to add a new face is now available whenever People View is activated, regardless of an asset’s People Recognition status.
• Metadata fields that display a menu of options have been visually refreshed, to make the menus more informative and easier to use.

Uploads & Assignments

• Icons and layouts associated with uploading have been refined for increased clarity.

Account Management

• Account administrators now have access to custom reporting on the usage and fees associated with People Recognition.

Asset Workflows & Organization

• Descriptive text has been refreshed for clarity across many views and notifications.

Bug Fixes

Messengers

• Corrected an anomaly which caused the filmstrip navigation buttons in the Messenger Single View to become unresponsive.
• Addressed a misconfiguration which prevented the date picker from appearing when configuring the expiration date of a DF Studio Messenger.
• Fixed an issue which omitted the typeahead suggestions when entering recipients for a Messenger.

Metadata

• Resolved a bug which could cause the Metadata Inspector to appear empty when first loading, under specific circumstances.
• Corrected a misconfiguration which caused the view to scroll to the beginning of the faces list when splitting a face from person view in the People dashboard.
• Mitigated a fault which caused the People dashboard to scroll to the beginning of the Recognized Faces tab when navigating back to the view from person view.
• Addressed an issue which caused the typeahead suggestions for Name and Role information in the People Dashboard to be hidden from view.

Uploads & Assignments

• Patched an error which could cause failures when transferring large sets of files between DF Studio accounts via Messenger Import.
• Mitigated an anomaly which could cause unnecessary delays in processing background tasks if the Upload Monitor were left open for an extended period of time.
• Addressed a bug which caused the Assignments Inspector to render incorrectly under certain circumstances.
• Corrected a defect which prevented the date picker from appearing when configuring an Assignment.

Asset Workflows & Organization

• Resolved an error which would appear when trying to open a Share Link under certain conditions.
• Fixed an issue which caused an existing Project or Collection filter to become unset when opening the Activity Monitor in a separate browser window.
• Corrected a misconfiguration which caused the Project or Collection links in the Activity Monitor to open in its dedicated window when clicked while viewing the Activity Monitor in its own browser window.
• Repaired an issue which prevented the interface from scrolling automatically to the appropriate content when navigating Library folders in Column View.
• Fixed a problem which prevented the display of typeahead suggestions for metadata fields configured with Metadata Terms when using the Advanced Search overlay.
• Resolved a fault which prevented video previews from being available for video files with no visual content (audio-only).
