Asset Filter enhancements and workflow optimizations

Software Development Update: June 2026

Jul 2, 2026

DF Studio is pleased to announce that the following changes have been deployed to all accounts throughout this June. Up-to-date information on the latest releases can always be found in the Release Notes listing.

Enhancements

Asset Workflows & Organization
  • Asset Filters can now be pinned. Pinned filters always appear in the filter bar, making it easier than ever to find and apply a frequently-used filter.
  • The Setups filter now offers “Single” mode for filtering to one Setup at a time, enabling easy switching from one Setup to another with just a single click.
  • The last-selected Edit will remain selected when navigating back to a Project or Collection from a different DF Studio view.
Downloads & Transfers
  • The Download overlay has been refreshed to provide more intuitive and responsive controls.

Bug Fixes

Messengers
  • Addressed a misconfiguration which ignored the “No Setup” selection when uploading multiple assets into a folder view.
  • Fixed an error which could appear when attempting to download the large preview of an image in a Mobile Messenger.
  • Resolved a bug which caused the Messenger Inspector to indicate that a Messenger’s assets were sourced from more than one Project, even in cases where all assets originated from the same Project.
  • Corrected an error which could prevent assets from displaying in a Messenger containing some assets with quotation marks in their names.
Selects & Approvals
  • Mitigated an anomaly which prevented using keyboard shortcuts to set select levels or navigate between assets immediately after adjusting asset filters.
Metadata
  • Patched a fault which prevented the display of the Asset Inspector in 1-Up View when multiple assets were selected.
  • Addressed an error which could cause the Person(s) Shown field to display names from a previously-selected asset instead of the correct information for the current asset.
  • Corrected a defect which prevented changing a person from Key Person to Named when defined as a Key Person at the folder level.
  • Rectified a problem which could cause delays when updating a person’s information on a large number of assets.
  • Fixed a bug which would apply a change in the person editor to multiple recognized faces, in rare instances in which the same person’s face was matched multiple times in the same image.
  • Addressed an anomaly which could make certain metadata fields editable by users without permission to edit metadata.
  • Resolved a misconfiguration which made it more complicated to drag sortable tokens into a new arrangement, because only the X in the token was draggable.
  • Patched an error which caused erroneous alerts regarding unsaved metadata when navigating between assets with specific metadata fields in use.
Uploads & Assignments
  • Mitigated a bug which prevented the output from the Copy and Download buttons in the DF Studio Upload Report from matching the currently filtered items.
  • Fixed a defect which could invalidate Upload Keys for a Project if the user account responsible for creating the Project became inactive.
Downloads & Transfers
  • Rectified a problem which could result in misreported download counts in circumstances where files with the same name overwrote each other, or assets selected for download lacked any downloadable files to transfer.
Account Management
  • Corrected an issue which prevented a password reset link from being sent when providing the correct values in the request form, but with non-matching capitalization.
Asset Workflows & Organization
  • Fixed a problem which caused the Asset Inspector information to become out-of-date when navigating between assets in 1-Up View.
  • Mitigated an error which might cause the wrong asset to be displayed when following a bookmark to a specific asset which fell outside of the asset filters currently in effect.
  • Resolved a defect which could cause delays or failures in the Calculate Storage overlay when dealing with large Projects or Library folders.
  • Addressed an anomaly which displayed events in the Asset History tab with an API credentials username, rather than the name provided for the API credentials.
  • Rectified a misconfiguration which allowed a Setup to be renamed with a new name that matched an existing Setup.
  • Resolved a bug which caused the Bin Inspector to be empty under certain circumstances.
  • Mitigated an anomaly which affected the proper storage of some fields in the Project Details overlay.
  • Fixed a defect which could cause numbers to be appended to the names of Projects and Collections in the navigational sidebar under specific conditions.
